“I Want to Live”
Polish diarist and Holocaust victim Rutka Laskier, one of the most interesting stories in history. Rutka, pictured here with her baby brother Henius, ran away from deportation and kept her diary in Warsaw Ghetto for 4 months. Rutka’s diary, in sharp contrast to Anne Frank’s, has a darker and more realistic tone, a very interesting read from an amazingly beautiful girl!
This was a black and white photo colored by me. Please ask me if you want to use it!
| Thank you for creating this blog. So many lovely pictures I've never seen before! Sounds a little mushy, but I almost feel like I'm looking at a best friend. She was such an inspiration, and so real :) | ||

No problem! :)
Anne Frank- 1935
Probably my favorite photo set of Anne Frank during her life. Anne was 5 when these were taken, almost 6.
“Please, Mom- I’m Building a Castle!”
Anne Frank plays on the beach in 1935. The only reason I know that is because she’s wearing the same dress in this photo as she is in this photo: http://cache1.asset-cache.net/gc/82657753-anne-frank-1935-gettyimages.jpg?v=1&c=IWSAsset&k=2&d=GkZZ8bf5zL1ZiijUmxa7Qdzgiv4dakboce87W9LiV6FNQgS6wznUeoryA8y%2Bwx%2B0CzC3klTQB9MpcxxPbMnB1Yu8Xh%2BTzAsSYxfKNKL4auM%2FPhbDyc%2BvbMozM6fMW%2FtH which while not important is still just a cute fact!
I colored this photo myself using my computer. Please ask if you want to use it. It’s my work!
Cheeky Anne
One of my favorite photos of Anne Frank, part of a photoset in 1935. Anne was 5 years old when these were taken- what a cutie!
Originally black and photo colored by me. Want to use it? Just ask!!
